I’m looking to lead a group of burning ones, even if they’re only few. My goal isn’t large crowds, I’m looking to be a part of a group of people whose hearts are burning with love for Jesus and what God wants to do in this region.
If or when you decide you want to be a part of Oasis Church, please know and understand that you’re going to need to let your traditional ways of thinking go. Many people say they’re looking for a transformation and change in the “Church,” or that we want to break out of traditional religious ways of functioning in our churches, but then when I hear different ones talk, they’re still wanting to bring all the old ways into the new season. I’m not only referring to spiritual ways of thinking, but I’m also referring to just the practical things of the functioning of the church. This is not going to work.
The Holy Spirit has called me as the Lead Pastor at Oasis Church, so I’m listening intently to what He wants and what He has to say. As we grow and go into this new season, I cannot and must not do things the same way we have in the past, so please don’t be offended if the new ways of doing things makes you uncomfortable, or when I break many traditional molds of doing and thinking as we move ahead.
The Holy Spirit is not leading me to set up Oasis church as a social gathering or entertainment center just to encourage and motivate us. Also I don’t intend to pattern the church in this new season according to past church paradigms. We can’t keep on doing things the same way and expect different results.
He is calling us to rise up as the army of God and work in unison with heaven to take back the Peoria Illinois region. He is calling us to be an “apostolic sending center”, to equip, raise up and send out.
He’s looking and calling for those who will take their place in battle, put on their military gear and learn how to use their weapons of spiritual warfare.
I’m not in this to “do church.” I will not rest and I will not back down until we have bound the princes and powers of the air over Central Illinois and revival has fully manifested.
Don’t be of a fearful heart. God has already given us the land and the enemies of God are trembling in their boots as I speak. His roar is going forth. The enemy has already been defeated over this territory and the Lord’s looking for those who will now enforce this victory and drive the enemy out.
I’m looking for those who will say, “Lord, I will go. Send me, even if it cost me everything.” If we’re in it for ourselves, we have already failed before we ever get started.
If you want to be a part of Oasis Church, I encourage you suit up, gear up and get back in the fight. We’re not doing this for ourselves we are doing this for the Lamb who was slain, the One whom we love and adore. We will win the nations for Jesus inheritance and we will start in Peoria, Illinois!
