Prayer is an integral part of Oasis Church because we believe our greatest calling is first to know the Lord in intimacy, and secondly, to hear what He is saying so we can do what He is doing. We can only know that by staying close to His heart in a lifestyle of prayer. We encourage all believers, especially leaders, to grow strong in their personal lives through prayer, and to join us for our times of corporate prayer.

We meet every Sunday morning at 9:15am for corporate prayer in the church Prayer Room. We also meet every Thursday Night from 7:00pm to 8:30pm for regional corporate prayer, which we call THE FURNACE. During this prayer gathering, we join our hearts in unity over the pressing issues of the day and what the Lord puts upon our hearts during our gathering. This is a Worship and Intercession model.

At Oasis, we feel prayer is so vital that we also take the entire first month of each new year to gather together nightly as church body and seek the Lord for His heart and mind for the new year concerning our church, our families, and our region. We have a huge heart for the Central Illinois region and intercede regularly in our corporate gatherings over the region. As such, we have several who come from other churches to join with us. We will meet nightly in January from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. (Please watch the website for any severe weather cancellations or text OASIS to 33222 to receive automated updates.)

At Oasis we understand busy schedules and that morning comes early, but we also want to give the Holy Spirit the freedom to speak and move in our midst. So if you can’t join us nightly in January, or you can’t make it by 6:00pm, or you need to leave early, please come anyway and join us for prayer for what time you can.

As we like to say, “Come when you can and leave when you need to.”
