Join the Oasis Tribe for a 2 days/2 nights local missions trip serving the needs in our community.

Ages 7-12th Graders*
Everyday we pass very real needs all around us, but most of us miss those right before our very eyes. It’s our desire during this local mission trip to awaken our teens to those in our region who are hurting and needing the love of Jesus. We want to be Jesus’ hands and feet and go meet as many needs as possible and learn how to be a blessing.
We will have several opportunities to serve these needs in Morton, Marquette Heights, East Peoria and other local communities within our region.
We also know that God releases His glory on a united body. So we will take several breaks throughout our 2 day local missions trip to have some fun and fellowship as a team (and a Tribe) so we can build a stronger youth community at Oasis! #TribeStrong
We are praying that your student also encounters Jesus in a whole new and fresh way on this trip, so we will also take each evening to worship together in a special youth worship service. We will have live worship and a special guest speaker.
We plan to “lock-in” each night at the Oasis Church building (located at 401 S. Carol Ave in Morton), so your student will need to bring either a blanket/pillow or a sleeping bag/pillow. Please have them bring appropriate sleepwear. We also ask that our students dress decently as we go out into the community and represent the Lord.
Please do not allow them to bring any electronics or devices, except their phone. We will be collecting phones at “lights out.” We also reserve the right to collect any phones anytime it becomes a distraction to the mission at hand. All other electronics/games/books will be locked up for the duration of the mission trip.
All students will be expected to stay in the designated Lock-in areas and with adult leadership at all times.
We reserve the right as leadership to phone parents to pick up their student(s) early if rules are disregarded or if they consistently refuse to participate in the mission or activity at hand. We are taking this mission as a serious mission so participation is a must, but be reminded that we will have plenty of time for free time and fun. Therefore, we do ask students to only attend if they plan to participate fully.
